The Feather River Recreation and Park District understands that memorials are an important piece of the community. Usually anyone wishing to commemorate an anniversary, celebrate a new birth or honor the memory of a loved one may request that a plaque be placed at one of the many District park locations.
Any community member desiring to place a memorial in a District park must follow the guidelines and process as lined out in the District Memorial Guidelines and Application packet below. Interested parties must present their request to the Executive Assistant who will schedule a meeting with you to discuss placement and type of memorial. The request will then be presented to the General Manager and Park & Recreation Committee of the Board of Directors for approval or denial. The Committee is responsible for making sure that special requests are consistent with park plans, function, operations, and current aesthetic needs. This process can take up to 3 months. Patrons will pay a fee to the District for installation which will be determined on the size and type of memorial.
