Pat Alley Memorial Dog Park (Map it)

May contain: dog, canine, animal, mammal, german shepherd, pet, human, and person

Feather River Recreation and Park District officially opened the Pat Alley Memorial Dog Park located at Riverbend Park. The Dog Park is dedicated in honor of Pat Alley who raised and trained dogs for almost 30 years and was highly respected as an expert in all matters concerning dogs. Her Top Dog Training Center and newspaper column, The Dog House, were sources of inspiration and information for many dog owners in Oroville. In addition to being a renowned dog trainer, Pat Alley was a gifted artist, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

The Dog Park is a fenced, unique, natural, multi-acre, off-leash dog park, built across from the fishing ponds at the southern end of Salmon Run Road in Riverbend Park, operated by the Feather River Recreation and Park District. The Dog Park has been sectioned off to include a general, fun-for-all open space, a smaller section for small and senior dogs, and another area for training.  Rules for use of the facility are posted at the park.

May contain: animal, pet, mammal, dog, and canine

The Dog Park was built through your generous donations of materials. Feather River Recreation and Park District employees, volunteers, and others provided hundreds of hours of labor to see the dream of a dog park in the area come true. However, the park is still not complete.

If you’d like to help in any way, leave your name and phone number at the Feather River Recreation and Park District office or call (530) 533-2011.
