Vollyball Open Gym

Feather River Recreation & Park District is excited to offer open gym sessions this fall! Open gym is an opportunity to practice their volleyball skills, play a pickup game, meet others, and stay active. Bring your own volleyball and water bottle.
Open to adults 18+ and youth ages 9-17, available on a first-come, first-served basis. Parent/guardian must pre-register and sign waiver online, or sign in-person waiver prior to child participation.
To provide a safe environment, there will be a maximum of 30 participants in the gym at a time. No organized team practice is allowed during open gym.
Location: Oroville Convention Center Gym (1200 Myers Street, Oroville)

Fee: $3/participant per open gym session - pay ahead of time online or in person. (Must pay in cash and have exact change if paying in person.)

Open Gym Volleyball Rules and Guidelines:
- No organized team practice allowed during open gym.
- All participants must sign in.
- Parent/guardian must pre-register and sign waiver online, or parent/guardian must sign in-person waiver prior to child participation.
- All specatators must behave in a positive manner and follow all rules and guidelines.
- No food or drink allowed in the gym, only water bottles. Water fountains are available in the gym.
- Open gym may not be appropriate for all children and require parental supervision.
- You must wear proper attire at all times. This includes shirts and athletic shoes with non-marking soles.
- If an accident or injury occurs, please notify a staff member immediately. Please report all unsafe conditions.
- No one is allowed on the stage, including behind/in the curtains. Anyone behind/in the curtains will be asked to leave immediately.
- Balls may not be kicked or hit against walls or ceilings.
- No basketballs or other balls, only volleyballs.
- No bikes, skateboards, roller skates, scooters, etc.
- Staff is not responsible for lost or stolen property.
- Zero Tolerance: NO profanity, fighting, spitting, gambling, horseplay, arguing with staff and/or others, threats of violence, or destruction of property. Any instances may result in discipline. This can include, but is not limited to: immediately excusing participant from premise, suspending future open gym privileges, notifying parents/guardians, or reporting to the authorities. Please report any instances to a staff member.
