"Hit It & Quit It"

Hit It & Quit It makes it two straight in CoEd titles

An 8-run fourth inning outburst by Hit It & Quit It provided the spark for an 18-8 victory over Bat Attitudes in the Feather River Recreation & Park District 2023 Summer CoEd League championship game Sept. 12 at the Nelson Sports Park.

Travis Wood, Brittney Eubanks, Ben Archuleta and Bailee Davis each had three hits for the victors. Archueta also provided a home run. Bat Attitudes was led by Skyler Merrifield, Kaelie Dolan, Quincy Stafford and Toby Merrifield.

In a semi-final battle earlier in the evening, Hit It & Quit It escaped into the title game with 15-14 victory over Fam Bam. HIQI also used an 8-run inning in this game - this time tallying those runs in the bottom of the seventh inning - erasing a 14-7 deficit. The bigblows in the frame came off the bats of Tanner Andoe, Nikki Wheeler, Matt Wisterman and Shelby Watts. Fam Bam was led by Bailey Archuleta, Chaz Morales, and Logan Smith.

Bat Attitudes earned the right to advance to the championship game by cruising past The Nasty Ballers, 15-1. Dylan Iverson homered in the win. The Ballers were paced by Scotty Wood and Ashley Mupeters.
