FRRPD Aquatics offers swim classes for all ages and abilities.
Classes are designed to allow swimmers to develop good habits in, on, and around the water, become comfortable in the water, learn and refine new strokes, and become stronger, safer swimmers.

Step 2: Select desired session and times.
Step 3: Pre-register and pay for classes at the FRRPD Activity Center.
SWIM LESSON SESSION DATES

Basic Beginner/Parent Tot: Porcupine Fish Recommended ages: 6 months to 5 years
Class provides opportunity to familiarize children with the water and teach swimming readiness skills / techniques that parents can use to safely introduce children to the water.
Level 1: Sea Turtle
Recommended ages: 3 to 5 years
Class designed for children with little or no water experience. Instructors teach introductory floating and movement skills through active play. Emphasis on water enjoyment and safe practices around the water.
Level 2: Dolphin
Recommended ages: 5 to 8 years
Class will build on the basic aquatic skills and water safety concepts learned in Level 1. Participants will develop skills used in front crawl and backstroke.
Level 3: Shark
Recommended ages: 8 to 10 years
Individuals will continue to develop and refine front crawl and backstroke skills learned in Levels 1 & 2. Instructors will introduce skills used in elementary backstroke and breaststroke
